Windows Vista is the latest version of Microsoft Operating System.

And to try it you need to purchase from Microsoft this software that will cost you nearly 200 buck. This amount is barely afforded by most of IT enthusiasts in most of developing countries such as Cambodia. Although Microsoft Corp. has recently announced the plan to sell the Microsoft software package (Windows XP and Office) in cheap price for user of the developing countries, some IT enthusiasts maybe not stand to wait as they are anxious to try this new experience.
Below instruction is a method to pirate the Windows Vista.
P.S. The use of Pirated Version of Software is illegal and you will be obliged with law enforcement and punishment. The purpose of bringing up this crack instruction is just for experience sharing. Please don’t use this crack for business purpose.
Note: Don’t use this crack if you’ve already tried another, or rearmed 3 times!
This crack will stop the timer to leave your vista install remaining at 30 days forever, and works with windows update.
Before installation, in your PC BIOS Setup, set your system date to 31-12-2099
- Start Windows Vista installation by following its on screen step-by-step instruction.
- After complete installation process, set date back your PC system date to current date.
- Extract the .rar file (clicke this link to download 1_crack_Next Vista 2099 Time or leave your email contact here then I will send you the file).
- Right click on vistacrack.exe and select properties.
- Go to Compatibility tab and check “ Run this program as an administrator”
- Close properties tab and run the crack file, hit crack as shown.
- Computer will start the crack, and reboot.
- When vista loads, it will show a warning on the system tray, right click on it, and allow the program to be started, and then hit allow when the warning pops up again.
- The cracks will then open up and finish the process. Hit finish to close the program.
- Crack is now complete!!
To double check to make sure it worked, reboot your computer and goto:
- Start > Run > Type “ slmgr.vbs -dlv” and press OK
- Wait a sec for the box to pop up
- Look at the bottom line, if it says the time remaining is 43200 your set!

The Windows Vista DVD is available @ Disc Center II. This one was embed with crack (according to my reading in ITCITY magazine). It give you a shortcut, meaning to say no crack performance is required. Using that DVD for installation, the step is:
1. Before installation, in your BIOS, change your date system to 31-12-2007.
2. Boot from your DVD and start installation process (you can read the detail installation process in Khmer version in ITCITY magazine issue no. 35).
3. After installation completed, change your time system to current date.

Why crack it? I decided to simply install Ubuntu Linux with Beryl support, and I have everything I need and more. I will never install or use Windows again. It has given me enough pain and I don’t want any more.
You should give Ubuntu Linux a try.

I understand your feeling. Each individul have different preference. Some may like Windows whil others prefer Linux. Personally, I like both. I used to try Linux as well and Linux Suse is my favorite since it is available in my mother tongue “ KHMER” . It consists of a lot of good features and tools.
The question araise why not many people in my country use Linux since it come up with sophisticated features and even free. The answer to this question maybe when people is already familar with one thing for a long time it hard for them to switch to something else. Even though both is similar we still need time to adapt to the new one. And this make people decide not to try.
Anyway, I totally agree with you. We should accept the change if it leads to improvement and productivity.

You are right, Rithy. OEM cracking is not such difficult. In Cambodia, you can find it easily at some CD store. The problem is it is illegal.

There is another method to crack Vista acvitivation. It called Timer Stop. The step is:
1. After you have completed installation (without Product Key) of Vista, go to Start => All Programs => Accessories => Right click on Command Prompt and then choose Run as Administrator (if User Account Control window pop-up, click on Continue)
2. In Command Prompt, type “ date” => Enter => Type “ 12/31/2099″
3. Restart your PC
4. Go to Command Prompt again => Type “ date” => Enter => Input current date (eg. 06/04/2007) => Type “ exit” to close the Command Prompt
5. Run Vista test crack.exe as Administrator (This file is located in zip file named StopTimer.zip available at http://www.itcity.com.kh or email me if you need this file)
6. Click on Test to run TimerStop => OK
7. Then click on Install => OK
8. Restart your PC
To double check to make sure it worked, reboot your computer and go to:
1. Start > Run > Type “slmgr.vbs -dlv” and press OK and wait a sec for the box to pop up
2. Look at the bottom line, if it says the time remaining is 43200 your set!

I am not sure which version of Vista you have downloaded. In my country, the Vista Ultimate Edition software doesn’t require product key while installing. Anyway, you may find your answer at http://keznews.com/ or you can use search engine such as Google or Yahoo to find out the product key and try it

I have paid more to Microsoft than for the totality of the computers I have purchased. When something goes wrong, Microsoft blames the user and requires MORE MONEY to resolve the issues!!! Henceforth…the MICROSHAFT! I wish to return the favor.
Problem: Windows could not boot, could not rescue because the rescue drive was corrupt; could not do a new install with Windows Vista Recovery; Could not do a NEW install with Vista Home Basic, Home Premium, or Ultimate. All DVDs were provided by Manufacturer as well as official Microsoft Install/Upgrade disks. Could not get to a recovery consol. Used Windows XP Install Disk. When it got to the part to select the drive to install, I deleted the corrupt windows recovery drive. There were other partitions of 800 MB and a 2Gig unknown partition. I then deleted the two unknown partitions and created one partition. I rebooted without the XP install cd. It booted to the login screen. When entering the OS, I was greeted by a statement indicating the Serial Key was invalid even though the installation was made at the factory and the serial key attached to the bottom of the laptop! Since I had files and programs, ALL PAID FOR at a premium price, I could not afford to loose my work. I tried to get support from Microsoft but was told I needed to purchase a Valid Genuine Windows OS.
I decided that Microsoft had defrauded me by providing a defective OS to the manufacturer, HP, and did not desire to honor the VALID and GENUINE Windows OS they provided. Therefore, I decided to go at it alone!
1) have a copy of SP1 for Vista available
2) Turn off wifi
3) select the “limited functionality” on the Screen telling you to enter a new serial key
4) The Activation screen will appear as well as IExplorer
5) Leave Activation screen on desktop, if you close it…you close to login
6) The IExplorer will stall because there is no wifi available
7) type the following in the address bar: \
A window will drop… select \windows
9) You willsee a new window “A website wants to open… select allow
10) A new window will open, go to search bar and type EXPLORER
11) Select Explorer (application)
You will now have a fully functional desktop…
DO NOT allow Windows Security Center to operate
DO NOT CLOSE THE ACTIVATION SCREEN!!!
Place your CD with Vista Service Pack 1 (SP1) into the CD/DVD drive
Install SP1
Your system will recover upon final reboot with all programs fully functional.
Immediately disable Microsoft update, if you need updates, you can get them online as a stand alone application.
Because I was disrespected by Microsoft, I decided to experiment with my other PAID IN FULL GENUINE VISTA OS/s. I installed OEM versions for Dell on Toshiba and vise versa. Both systems failed due to BIOS identification. Both were determined to be NON GENUINE and/or the serial key was identified as not valifd for the cd installation. I completed the same procedure as I listed above, and gained the same results. The system/s functioned without a problem even thouh the DELL and TOSHIBA OS/s switched places.
I understand that the same procedure WILL WORK even with a pirated copy of Vista, HOME,Premium, and Ultimate.
I offer this format as PUBLIC DOMAIN for anyone who has been given the MICROSHAFT
